The following rules and regulations are guide to be complied by both pupils and parents. They are required for orderly running of the school. Parents and pupils are expected to observe the standard of courtesy, politeness and decorum which are acceptable conducts and behaviour as a Christian school. One thing to remember, is the fact that, Awesome Hands as a school is obliged by our faith to encourage our children to know Christ and make him known through their life styles. In as much as the governing body and staff of Awesome Hands Academy seek to work in partnership with parents/ guardians, it is important that they adhere to some rules and regulations to ensure cordial and productive experiences and with staff members. Remember, we are a community of like-minded, people who must work together to provide the best opportunities for all children at Awesome Hands Academy.
GOOD MORALS: Refrain from using abusive language or quarrelling with other parents or staff. Kindly set a good example for your child.
Do not insult your child or any other child.
If there is any issue that needs the attention of the school, please speak to the principal, the assistant or any other recognised authority available.
SAFETY: Make sure to hand over your ward to the teacher(s) on duty before leaving the school premises and sign the attendance record book.
Ensure to provide enough identification details for verification in case you send any other person apart from the one provided in the admission forms.
Make sure your child stays closer to you at the car park. Staffs do not take responsibility for accidents in that area.
Littering the environment is strongly prohibited. Kindly use the litter bins.
We intend to become environmentally responsible school by reducing the amount of paper usage. So, please keep visiting the school website to keep you updated on news and events.
Please do not send your sick child to school as their condition may change so quickly to affect other children.
Sugar concentrated drinks are not permitted for use as snacks especially from creche to kindergarten.
Long finger nails are not permitted. Parents have the responsibility to keep their children's finger nails short and well trimmed always.
Wearing of bangles, necklaces, long ear rings, painting of nails or lips are not permitted.
The girls who may want to plait their hairs must keep it simple and decent. Only soft ribbons are allowed.
All pupils must use only the prescribed school uniforms with respect to colour, texture and design. No parent is permitted to produce any of our uniforms from outside except with permission by the principal with tangible reasons.
All pupils are required to wear school printed uniforms on every Thursday.
All pupils are required to wear black leather shoes and black socks with exception of Fridays where school lacoste are permitted with blue jeans skirt or trousers.
It is the school's policy to avoid caning or applying any form of corporal punishment. However, the school reserves the right to use cane sparingly when it is considered necessary in the interest of the child.
Our children are encouraged to use the word, thank you, I am sorry, excuse me, please etc
Our children are encouraged to apologise when they are wrong. A child who's character and behaviour may seem to endanger the safety and moral life of other children may be withdrawn from the school after all efforts have proven futile.
Admission requirements includes photocopies of N.H.I.S card, weighing card, birth certificate and previous school report. An aptitude test would be granted to determine the academic level of the child for placement.
Admission fees are paid at once.
Re-admission requires full admission process including payment of full admission fees.
Fees paid are not refundable
Terminal Fees must be paid before or a week after reopening of school.
Children are expected to report to school between 7:00am-7:45am. The gate shall be closed exactly 7:55am. Closing time is 3:30pm. With a grace period of up to 4:30pm. Any time after 4:30pm will attract a penalty fee of GHc 30.00. compulsory.
A child who reports to school a week before withdrawal must pay 50% of total school fees.
A month written notice should be given to effect withdrawal of a child. A term fees would be required in lew of notice.
Parents who may want to withdraw their wards temporally must submit a written notice with reasons.
Parents are not allowed into the ward's classroom especially during contact hours.
Parents are expected to supervise their wards home works and sign before submission.
Unsigned home works will not be marked.
Check your child’s bag daily before and after school for something that may need your attention and response.
Payment of admission fees is at once.
Terminal fees must be paid before or a week after re-opening. Except prior arrangement is made with the administration, the child will not be accepted into the school.
